Our friends at Jedi Temple Archives have posted their San Diego Comic Con Q&A with Hasbro.  My frequent refrain of the line quitting me before I quit it is becoming more true with each collector event.

The official site has uploaded the hi-res images from the Hasbro presentation.  Hasbro please don’t muck up these figures with shoddy quality.  The hand painted samples looks pretty decent.

If you were following the Hasbro presentation live blog at our friends Jedi Temple Archives, you know it was another fizzle for the 3.75” line.  The 6” line has some hits with an Emperor, Bossk, Hoth Han, Tauntaun, Hoth Luke and Wampa all announced, but there was nothing new revealed for the smaller scale.  Hopefully the booth will hold more reveals for the smaller scale.

One note is that the Chewbacca that we reported will be coming in the fall is Episode IV based (Yavin ceremony).  We made an assumption that it would be the Boushh’s prisoner version of Chewbacca.

The DVD of Plastic Galaxy: The Story of Star Wars Toys is now available for order on Amazon.  This documentary explores the groundbreaking and breathtaking world of Star Wars toys. Through interviews with former Kenner employees, experts, authors, and collectors, it looks at the toys’ history, their influence, and the fond and fervent feelings they elicit today.  As I said when the first trailer hit, if this doesn’t hit your right at home, you’re on the wrong web site.

We have an exclusive look at the Target reset planogram for the action figure pegs of the Star Wars section.  If your Target’s Star Wars section currently looks like the preview image below, this may offer some hope for a return to brick and mortar viability.  Click through for the details.

This comes due to a timely heads up from our friends at Jedi Temple Archives.  The Walgreens exclusive prototype Boba Fett is up for pre-order on walgreens.com.  These probably won’t last long.

Our recent DPCI report revealed that the Class I vehicle designation was returning which lead us to speculate that the figure and mini-vehicle platform was returning because that was what Class I previously designated.  A check of the Target scanners throws that in question, however.  Click through for the details.

You’ve probably already see this on Rebelscum or one of the other sites linking to them already.  My early to bed policy precluded me from posting this in a timely manner.  Even though nothing shown is “new” in the sense of being unknown, seeing the fall product is a bit exciting.  And am I the only one that finds it curious that Ree Yees and Starsher are not shown carded when they are next up in the line?

Posted by Chris on 07/22 at 08:49 PM Comments Category: Ebay

Wow.  According to the AFA population report, there are only 6 AFA 90 graded carded Yak Face figures in existence and if you have the funds, no you can own one.  No Yak Face figure has ever graded higher.  But be warned.  You might want to take a seat before looking at the Buy-It-Now price.  .
